Returns & Refunds Policy

Thank you for choosing Vancouver Computer for your hardware needs and technical services. We strive to provide the highest quality motherboard repairs and computer components in Vancouver and Battle Ground, WA. Please review our policies regarding returns and refunds below.
1. Computer Components & Hardware
We sell both new and refurbished motherboards and components. Our return policy for these items is as follows:
- New Components: Must be returned in original, unopened packaging within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Opened items may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
- Refurbished Hardware: All refurbished motherboards are fully tested. We offer a 30-day exchange or store credit for any defective refurbished units. Items must not show signs of physical damage or improper installation.
- Non-Refundable Items: Specialized chips, solder, and consumables are non-returnable once opened.
2. Repair Services (Labor)
Due to the technical nature of component-level repair, including motherboard diagnostics, reballing, and socket replacement, our labor policies are as follows:
Diagnostic Fees: Fees paid for diagnostics and troubleshooting are non-refundable, as they cover the labor and specialized equipment time used to assess your hardware.
- Repair Warranty: We offer a 90-day warranty on our specific repair work (e.g., if we replaced a CPU socket, that socket is covered). If the repair fails within this window, we will fix it at no additional cost.
- Unsuccessful Repairs: If a motherboard is deemed unrepairable after extensive work, labor fees may still apply to cover the time and materials used during the attempt.
3. Refund Process
For eligible returns:
- Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 5-7 business days.
- In-store purchases in Vancouver or Battle Ground can be returned locally for faster processing.
- Shipping costs for mail-in returns are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived defective.
4. Shipping & Mail-In Repairs
When shipping motherboards for repair or returning components, please ensure items are packed in anti-static bags with sufficient padding. Vancouver Computer is not responsible for items damaged during transit due to poor packaging.
